University of Maine has selected Andrews Technology to automate its time and attendance process, using NOVAtime 4000, for over 750 permanent and part-time employees at multiple work sites.
December 2013 – Andrews Technology, the top NOVAtime dealer of 2013, announced that the University of Maine System has selected Andrews Technology to automate its time and attendance process, using NOVAtime 4000, for over 750 permanent and part-time employees. This 100% web-based program will help the University regulate its pay rules and improve exactness, while minimizing administrative expenditures.
NOVAtime 4000 permits government organizations to manage employees’ time and attendance with precision. The system analyzes job and labor records to regulate expenses, while also making it possible for payroll overseers to create timely payroll reports with brilliant reliability. With the NOVAtime 4000, the University is not required to pay reoccurring monthly fees because of their ability to host the software in their own IT environment; this giving them 100% control over their server and keeping the project cost-effective.
The University also will take advantage of Employee Web Services, providing employees with the ability to punch in/out at a PC or Smart Phone. Employees will also have the ability to view their own time records, schedules, status of sick/vacation/personal days, and request time off electronically.
Additionally, the University of Maine will be using 8 NT6500 Magnetic Stripe Touch Screen Terminals for employee data collection. Each clock will aid the supervisors by increasing the effective communication between them and their employees, using the equipped text box feature; this feature permits supervisors to send private or mass messages for select employees to view upon punching. The NT6500 delivers the added convenience of allowing employees to view the information available in Employee Web Services.
